Thinking of going greener? Ask the experts

As the services arm of VeryPC, the world’s leading energy efficient desktop computer and server manufacturer, Bothrealities have been working with low energy IT equipment and implementing carbon reducing solutions for years.

Consultation

If you are considering upgrading your IT infrastructure to a greener alternative, Bothrealities can advise you on the options available to you. We’ll conduct a detailed analysis of your IT requirements, including projected use over the lifetime of any new equipment, and recommend an energy saving installation of PCs and servers that will reduce your energy consumption and carbon footprint compared to the standard equipment available on the market today. The energy savings we can provide are often significant enough that the new equipment pays for itself well within its operational lifetime by reducing your electricity bill.

Sustainability Without Compromise

There is no need to worry that lower energy use means a drop in computing performance. The GreenPCs and GreenServers we are able to source are so efficient that they have the same (and sometimes greater) fast processing speeds and capabilities as any standard high spec machine, whilst consuming as much as 60% less power.

Energy Audits

Energy saving claims are not very credible without robust data to back them up. Our efficiency experts can audit the energy use of your current equipment so that you know exactly what your current consumption is. Should you have upgrades to propose, we will make estimates of the potential energy spend using normal IT equipment based on known data about the energy consumption of standard computer components. Having this data, we will then demonstrate the saving you could make by choosing the greener, energy efficient alternative. Either a straight swap out of your existing kit, or an energy efficient infrastructure upgrade compared to the same upgrade using standard equipment. We’ll also highlight the financial savings you’ll enjoy from your operational budget, and indicate the ‘buy-back’ period of the energy efficient IT; that is, the time after which the electricity bill savings will have paid for the initial capital outlay on the new equipment.
